I just wrote an essay of sorts called In the Defense of Lily Evans which is about the unfair treatment of Lily Evans in fandom as well as the staggering levels of misogyny and blatant disregard of canon which often leads to a ton of Lily bashing. * Note to mods: The essay has been edited to take out the swearing, however I've left in the word "bitch" in two incidents due to the fact that misogyny IS one of the main topics of concern in this essay. I’ve got the feeling as time goes by, the Choosen One, no longer important enough to live up to his title, will be replaced by this sue who dares to use my name (Perry), spelling it differently (Perry/Perri) as time goes by. What a train wreck. So I guess I’ll just have to kick her arse back to hell. Here we go!
